State police forensics lab approved with 20,000-square-foot building

Phase 1 of the Idaho State Police Forensic Services lab is a single-story building housing DNA, digital forensics and latent prints labs, with administrative space. Later phases depend on funding and would add evidence storage and training rooms.

About this application

Phase 1 of the new Forensics Lab is a 20,000 SF single-story building that will house the DNA, digital forensics, and Latent Prints laboratories as well as the supporting administrative spaces associated with these labs. The design team is planning for three building phases total, dependent on funding. Future phases will be located to the northwest of the Phase 1 structure and will include more administrative spaces, evidence storage, and training rooms. See narrative for additional information.
