11-foot berm and wall approved to buffer 10-home subdivision from road noise
Eagle City Council approved, on its consent agenda April 28, a 5-foot berm topped by a 6-foot block wall, above the 8-foot code limit. Conditions include a stone or concrete cap, deeper columns and a revised fencing plan for neighboring lots.
About this application
The developer of Willowbrush Subdivision, at the southwest corner of North Park Lane and West Beacon Light Road, asked to raise the combined height of the landscape berm and wall along those two roads to 11 feet. The design is a 5-foot berm topped with a 6-foot split-face block wall, meant to cut traffic noise for the 10-home neighborhood. The Design Review Board voted to approve the taller buffer with conditions.
Matt Swensen, represented by Antonio Conti with Ackerman-Estvold, is requesting design review approval to modify the common area landscaping within Willowbrush Subdivision, specifically the combined height of the berm and fence along West Beacon Light Road and North Park Lane. The 6.05-acre site is located on the southwest corner of North Park Lane and West Beacon Light Road at 2795 North Park Lane.
