Request to vacate utility easement would make room for backyard pool
The owner of a 1.32-acre residential lot asked to vacate a 12-foot irrigation and utilities easement. Staff say the irrigation pipe was moved and no utilities remain. The City Council heard the request Dec. 16; no decision is on file.
About this application
The property owner at 255 East Laguna Shore Drive asks the city to vacate a 12-foot-wide irrigation and public utilities easement that crosses the rear yard of a 1.32-acre residential lot. The easement is no longer needed because the irrigation pipe was relocated into a new easement and no utilities are in the old one. Removing it would allow an in-ground pool to be built in the back yard.
Charles G. Barringer, represented by Patrick Connor with Ardurra, is requesting a vacation of the 12-foot-wide (12'W) irrigation and public utilities easement located on Lot 4, Block 1, of the Coast to Coast Subdivision final plat (also known as Laguna Pointe Subdivision) to allow for the construction of an in- ground pool within the rear yard area of the residential lot. The 1.32-acre site is generally located 625- feet southeast of the intersection of North Eagle Road and East Riversedge Drive at 255 East Laguna Shore Drive.
