Eagle code change would set 500-foot mailed notice for hearings and neighborhood meetings
The proposed zoning code change would replace notice distances that vary by zoning district. Sites of 500 acres or more would notify a wider area. The City Council heard the item March 26, 2024; no decision is on file.
About this application
This is a proposed change to Eagle's zoning code, not a building project. It would standardize mailed notice for neighborhood meetings and public hearings at 500 feet from a property's boundary. For sites of 500 acres or more, notice would go out to a half mile for projects with 250 or fewer homes and two miles for larger projects. The City Council continued the item to March 26, 2024, and this document is a revised draft.
An ordinance of the City of Eagle, Ada County, Idaho, amending Eagle City Code Title 8 "Zoning Administration and Enforcement", Section 8, "Notice Requirements"; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date. (WEV)
