The owner of a vacant 2.66-acre parcel at 1620 Aviation Way in Caldwell has asked the city to annex it from Canyon County and zone it M-1 (General Industrial). No development is proposed; the owner says the goal is to make the property easier to sell. Any future building would need separate city review.
Annexation of parcel R0070600000 with a zoning designation of M-1, General Industrial. The parcel is designated as employment center in the Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map and M-1 is considered a compatible zoning designation. No development is proposed at this time, however, the property is surrounded on multiple sides by the City limits. The 2.66-acre site is addressed as 1620 Aviation Way, and is located on the S west side of Aviation Way, approximately 690 feet north of the intersection with Andy Ln, and 820 feet south of the intersection with Skyway Rd, in Caldwell, Idaho. This application was recommended for approval at the May 13, 2026, Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.
