Anthony Hess, who runs Heartwood Tree Care, asks for a conditional use permit to use about 2 acres of a 10.11-acre agricultural parcel at 16905 Crystal Lane near Wilder for a staging yard, contractor shop, and firewood sales. The site would hold trucks, equipment, logs, and wood chips, with up to eight employees, an office, a small portable sawmill, and customers picking up firewood. Proposed hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to noon.
