Brian Burnett wants a permit to run a sand and gravel pit on about 26 acres of a 50.2-acre farm-zoned parcel at 25192 Lemp Lane near Parma, for up to 20 years. The site would also stockpile, crush, screen and haul gravel off site, and the pit would become a pond afterward. The Planning and Zoning Commission denied the permit, and the applicant appealed to the County Commissioners.
