The City of Wilder has asked Canyon County to shrink the city's area of impact, the surrounding land where the county handles land-use applications and the city may later annex. The request would pull the boundary in about half a mile on the north, east, south and west sides, so it covers land the city expects to serve with water and sewer within five years. The proposed area is about 3,133 acres, compared with the city's roughly 510 acres.

The applicant, City of Wilder, represented by Kate Dahl, requests an ordinance update to comply with State Law 67-6526, by reducing Wilder’s area of impact on the north, east south and west side bringing the impact area in approximately half a mile on each side to where the city can reasonably service the area in the next five (5) years (Exhibit A).
