Elmore County proposes to add a section on Areas of City Impact to its 2014 Comprehensive Plan and to update the boundary maps for the Mountain Home and Glenns Ferry impact areas. Companion changes would amend the county zoning ordinance chapters that cover each city's impact area agreement. The update responds to a new state law that requires the areas to be reviewed by December 31, 2025, and covers about 11,100 acres around Mountain Home and 2,800 acres around Glenns Ferry.
