Paul and Lisa Santiago asked to keep existing 8-foot solid fences along the rear and side of their home at 2509 Sugar Cane Dr in Nampa, a single-family residential lot of about 0.17 acres. The request was made for privacy and safety for special needs grandchildren, and the decision letter says the rear yard sits well below the property line, so a 6-foot fence gives less privacy than usual. The Planning Director approved the variance at staff level.

Increase height of side and rear property fences to 8 ft for privacy and safety.
