Eagle council approves looser landscape buffer for Amberly Ranch Subdivision

The council approved changes to the Amberly Ranch development agreement that relax buffer planting and berm rules along Beacon Light Road and Ballantyne Lane, where an irrigation pipe easement limits planting. The land use stays the same, and the decision was made Oct. 28.

The developer of the Amberly Ranch Subdivision, a 4-lot residential subdivision on 7 acres at 2142 West Beacon Light Road in Eagle, asked to change the landscaping rules along Beacon Light Road and Ballantyne Lane. A buried irrigation pipeline (Lateral 78) limits how many and how tall the plants can be near it, so the City Council allowed reduced plantings in that strip and removed the requirement for a meandering berm.

Council authorization for Mayor to execute the modified development agreement associated with Amberly Ranch Subdivision. The 7.00-acre site is located west of North Ballantyne Lane at 2142 West Beacon Light Road.
