The Garden City Police Department asks to remove three properties from Garden City's boundaries, returning them to Ada County's jurisdiction. The properties are two Ada County-owned parcels along N. Alworth St. and Plantation Island, owned by the Idaho Parks Foundation, plus surrounding unplatted land near the new Ada County park at Expo Idaho. The goal is one police jurisdiction for the park area, and staff recommends approval, with the City Council as final decision-maker.

A de-annexation request on behalf of the Garden City Police Department of parcels R7334160280 & R7334160261 currently zoned with Garden City's zoning designation of C-2 and parcel S0630315200 and surrounding un-platted land, commonly referred to as Plantation Island, currently zoned with Garden City's zoning designation of R-2.
