Kesler Thueson requests a conditional use permit to operate a pet aquamation business in Suite 104 at 3806 E Newby St in Nampa. Aquamation is a water-based, flameless way to cremate small animals, and the business would work mainly with veterinarians and would not be open to the public. The site is a 0.46-acre parcel in the city's light industrial zone.
The current zoning for this property is light industrial. IL zoning requires a conditional use permit for crematoriums. I am applying for a CUP for a pet alkaline hydrolysis business also known as aquamation. This is an eco friendly, water-based, flameless form of small animal cremation. It will only be myself using the warehouse, as I work directly with veterinarians and not open to the public. This makes parking requirements minimal. It will be very discreet.
