Planners deny extension for 94,370-square-foot semi-truck sales facility
The Boise Planning and Zoning Commission denied a request on Aug. 4, 2025, to extend by two years the permit for the project on about 24.5 acres. Staff said heavy vehicle sales are no longer allowed under the site's mixed-use zoning and the design misses many current code standards.

Kenworth Sales, through its architect NBW Architects, is asking the city to extend by two years a conditional use permit for a semi-truck sales and service facility on 24.5 acres at 6850 and 6880 S Eisenman Road. The approved plan includes an 80,000-square-foot sales and service building and a 14,370-square-foot service building, both two stories and 45 feet tall at the roof. Staff recommends denial because the heavy vehicle sales use is not allowed in the site's current MX-2 zone and the design does not meet many current code standards.
