Amazon wants to build a fenced drone launch center of about 21,000 square feet in the parking lot of its fulfillment center at 5295 E Franklin Rd in Nampa. Drones would carry packages of up to 5 pounds from the site to customers within about 7 miles, flying at 200 to 400 feet during twilight-to-twilight daylight hours. The center would use about 114 existing parking spaces.
Amazon is seeking to intergrade Prime Air, Amazon's drone delivery operations at the BOI2 fulfillment center.
