Nampa homeowner's rezone to single-family zoning approved for 900-square-foot addition

The City Council approved the rezone of a 0.26-acre lot from two-family to single-family residential on July 21, clearing the way for a 900-square-foot addition to the existing single-family home.

The application's description as it appears in City of Nampa's record. See the official record

The owner of a home at 1423 S Elder St in Nampa asks to rezone the 0.26-acre lot from two-family (duplex) residential to single-family residential. Most of the lot is zoned duplex and a small southern part is already single-family, so the change would apply one zoning standard to the whole lot. The owner wants to build an addition to the existing single-family house, and the use would not change.

Rezone RD to RS6 to bring entire lot into compliance for building an addition to the home.
