Alley vacation approved for White Pines apartment site in Nampa

The City of Nampa approved with conditions a request to vacate an unused alley next to a 2.3-acre city commercial lot tied to the White Pines apartments project. The city is considering vacating (giving up) about 0.47 acres of unused South Ivy Street right-of-way south of East Hawaii Avenue, plus the alley between 0 and 515 E Hawaii Ave and a strip along the lot lines, in Nampa. The land would be folded into adjacent parcels for the planned White Pines Apartment Homes. This staff report only recommends approval; no decision is recorded.

Kimley-Horn & Associates is requesting vacation of the alley located adjacent to parcels R1177901100 and R117900000. The alley is not being utilized for the intended purposes and it is our understanding that the City of Nampa does not intend to build and or extend the alley within this location. Pedcor Companies is willing to provide a public utility easement within the alley to allow the City of Nampa and Idaho Power access and the ability to maintain the existing sewer and overhead power within the alley.
