Nampa adopts plan with 14 projects to guide downtown work
The City Council approved the Downtown Implementation Plan on Sept. 15, which sets out action items, potential costs and timelines for 14 downtown projects. The city also amended its 2040 Comprehensive Plan to add a summary of the plan and drop a 2004 revitalization blueprint.

The City of Nampa proposes adopting the Nampa Downtown Implementation Plan, which turns earlier downtown planning into specific steps with responsible parties, funding options, and timelines for the Downtown Historic zoning district. The proposal also updates the city's 2040 Comprehensive Plan to add a summary of this plan, remove the 2004 Central Nampa Revitalization Blueprint, and update the Downtown Streetscape Plan reference. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval in July 2025, and the City Council takes up the item at its October 20, 2025 public hearing.
